A general purpose power supply using switch mode technology to provide excellent electrical performance. The output is controlled by the centre dial and increments in 0.1V steps with a maximum voltage of 15V. The device provides DC only power with a maximum current output of 8A. The DC is smoothed with low ripple noise and excellent regulation. The device has a voltage limit lock to limit the maximum selectable voltage. This is enabled using the USB key at the side of the device, see the user manual for more details.

The device has an internal cooling fan to prevent overheating improving the device longevity. The device has protected outputs which trigger under short circuit or overload conditions, these help protect the device and any attached circuit from dangerous conditions. The protection can be reset using the reset button.

The device is lightweight, compact and ergonomic in design to help with storage, transport and use. The enclosure uses the classic retro Unilab design making it robust and strong.
