A great collection of replica artefacts to teach and learn about the Ancient Greeks.  It includes plaques one depicting the Trojan War and the other from a section of a frieze from the Parthenon.  (The image represents the procession of bulls involved in the Hecatomb (festival) – depicting the sacrifice of 100 bulls during the course of the festival.)

The collection also includes two style of lamp; Bronze and Clay.  Both burned Olive Oil via a wick and would have been used for lighting, heat and worship.

The Replica Greek theatre masks represent comedy and tragedy and these masks had certain practical uses: their distinct features made characters recognisable at a distance; they made it easier for the three actors used in plays to play more than one part each; they enabled the all-male casts to play both men and women.

Finally the two coin packs; a Corinthian Didrachm and an Athens Stater include information on each coin and the period of history that they would have been used.

Please note: Contents may vary.

These artefacts are not toys and should be studied with adult support.
